Located just a mile from the village of Hatt in Cornwall, Tamar Lodge is a modern yet cosy lodge perfect for couples who want to get away from it all. An alpaca farm and the beautiful rolling countryside surround it, making it a peaceful getaway.
Guests can enjoy multiple hiking and walking trails in the area and many picnic spots and benches for viewing nature and the alpacas. However, you don’t have to go far to see the alpacas. You can usually see them from the backyard or the windows.
The floor plan is an open layout, with a connected kitchen, bedroom, dining area, and lounge area. The lodge has a king-sized bed for ultimate comfort and a closed-off shower room with a shower stall, sink basin, and a water closet.
A wood burner centrally located in the sitting and sleeping area lends the lodge a rustic and cosy atmosphere, and the hot tub outside offers modern convenience and relaxation.
The furniture and quirky decorations give the interior a cottage-like feel that makes it a perfect romantic retreat for a couple. It’s a bright and homey place to spend one night or an entire couple’s holiday.
A table and chairs with an umbrella and a gas BBQ sit on the patio so guests can relax, cook, and dine outdoors if they wish. Sun loungers near the hot tub make it easy to relax and dry off after getting out of the water.
Though the lodge has a rustic sensibility, it offers plenty of modern conveniences. It has central heating, fridge, a gas hob and oven, TV, Wi-Fi, and several DVDs, games, and books to enjoy.
Plymouth is about 10 miles away and offers nightlife and tourist attractions if guests can pry themselves away from the comfort and relaxation of Tamar Lodge. Theatres, cinemas, and nightclubs are in abundance.
Nearby Saltash, known as the Gateway to Cornwall, offers the impressive Royal Albert Train Bridge, canoe trips, and a shopping high street. Devon features Devon Cliffs Holiday Park and miles of beautiful coastline in addition to shops, nightclubs, and entertainment.
Guests can stay closer to Tamar Lodge and enjoy golf and spa services at the China Fleet Country Club or golf and fine dining at the St. Mellion International Resort. Both are less than five miles from the lodge.
Cornwall also offers many sights and experiences to enjoy while in the area, including visiting the Antony House, where Tim Burton shot his film Alice in Wonderland. Cornwall also has several beaches, theatres, parks, clubs, and castles to explore.
